About Carl
Welcome to Camping and Fishing for Newbies.
If you have heard about Canada, especially Quebec and Ontario. Camping and Fishing are a huge pastime of ours. We have tons of opportunities, many national and provincial parks. Lakes at every turn. But, as a kid, I never knew where to go.
Now that I’m older and have a bit of experience, mileage behind me, I can recommend where and you what to do. I can help you get started.
Where did it all started
Fishing as always been a big part of my life. With fishing, comes camping. You know what I mean. As a kid, kid I always wanted to camp in my parents backyard. My parents could not afford to go places and they did not like it. I used to ask to be invited to my friends place because they would bring me fishing with them. When I got old enough to ride a bike for long distances, and my mom would let me, I would bike to streams, lakes and camp sites. My friend and I would often bike 25 or 30 km to fish for just a few ours before we had to come back. After a while we got tired and we would camp there.
We often did not find the right place and had to come back or if we had the best fishing spot, we froze all night because we did not know what to bring.
Trial and Error
People often say practice makes perfect. A good way to learn is by making mistakes.
What if you did not have to make mistakes, or errors. What if you have a friend that can give you advice, tell you where to go or what to bring.
Wouldn’t it be great !
Camping and Fishing for Newbies is exactly for that.
Helping people with the things they need to bring camping or fishing. Knowing where to start or what to purchase on your first outing would be nice.
I did not have parents to teach me all this stuff. I did not have internet to find out what are the best camping sites, the best fishing lures or what type of sleeping bag I should use to have a great night of sleep.
Camping and Fishing for Newbies is just for that purpose.
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to ask I will be more than happy to help you out.
All the best,
Carl
